All members are required to assist the Club by participating on one committee. We will work with you to accommodate your schedule and availability.
Breakfast with Santa Committee santaparty@bbhpmc.org Chair: Naomi Chapman This committee plans and executes our Santa Party, our annual holiday family event. Planning begins in October. Tasks include planning food, crafts, booking entertainment and a photographer, purchasing supplies, creating registration forms, set-up and tear-down, and general help during the event. This event happens during the day on a weekend in December.
Community Service Committee communityservice@bbhpmc.org Co-Chairs:Morgan Schweighoefer & Morgan Mackovjak This committee plans and organizes our Club's philanthropic efforts. Responsibilities may include contacting organizations, attending meetings, helping execute activities, and collecting/delivering items. Community Service projects occur monthly.
Consignment Sale Committee consignmentsale@bbhpmc.org Co-Chairs: Candace Gesicki & Amanda Ibold This committee executes our biggest fundraisers of the year -- the Fall and Spring Consignment Sales! Responsibilities include helping load and unload equipment from the storage unit, setting up and tearing down the event space, managing fellow Moms Club volunteers the day of the sale, and organizing items to donate to a local charity when the sale is complete.
Fall Fest Committee fallfestival@bbhpmc.org Co-Chairs: Elizabeth Gener & Michelle Hattendorf This committee plans and executes Fall Fest, our annual, all-family event that takes place in October. Tasks include planning food, purchasing supplies, creating registration forms, and general help during the event.
Field Trips Committee fieldtrips@bbhpmc.org Co-Chairs: Jessica Travaglianti & Jordan Wajda This committee plans a variety of field trips offering fun and educational opportunities for our children. Responsibilities include planning events and communicating the details to members, creating online registration forms, scheduling dates in coordination with the President, and attending field trips. Commitment is year-round, but committee members are asked to each plan a minimum number of events per year to share the responsibility of planning. The Club has an average of four field trips per month.
Mom Prom Committee philanthropy@bbhpmc.org Chair: Ashley McGee & Nikki Fries This committee plans and executes Mom Prom, a special evening that raises money for charity. Tasks may include collecting donations for raffle baskets, encouraging ticket sales, and setting up and tearing down the event space. Tasks are available up to the date of Mom Prom on Saturday, February 1.
Playgroups Committee playgroups@bbhpmc.org Chair: Emily Ujek This committee plans playgroups for kids and caregivers throughout the year. Tasks include planning and attending playdates with other club members.
Preschool Information Night Committee preschoolinfonight@bbhpmc.org Chair: Kaitlyn Jonozzo This committee plans and executes an open house for preschools and the public to educate the members and community about what our local preschools have to offer. Responsibilities include planning and advertising the event, contacting local preschools, getting food for the guests, set up, tear down, and working the event. This event occurs once per year, on a weeknight.
Programs Committee programs@bbhpmc.org Co-Chairs: Tracey Caine & Andrea Meekins This committee plans social events and Member Meetings. Tasks for this committee include the planning and execution of those meetings, and for social events for members. Tasks for this committee are available year-round.
Safety Town Chair safetytown@bbhpmc.org Chair: Amanda Sindelar This committee helps with the graduation ceremonies for Brecksville Safety Town. Tasks include ordering food and supplies, setting up, tearing down, and helping during the events. There are two separate graduations to plan. Both happen during the day on a weekday in June.
Spring Fling Committee springfling@bbhpmc.org Co-Chairs: Cassidy Crowder & Aaryn Matejcik This committee plans and executes our annual Bunny Brunch, an Easter family event. Tasks include finding a location, ordering supplies, booking entertainment, ordering food, set-up and tear-down, general help during the event, creating registration forms, and promoting the event. This event happens during the day or early evening on a weekend.
Spring Tea Committee programs@bbhpmc.org Chair: Alivia Jajola This committee plans and executes our annual Spring Tea, a reflection and celebration of our year. Moms are pampered, have delicious food and drink, receive giveaways and win raffles. Committee tasks include finding a location, solicitating raffle donations, shopping for Member gifts, and event set-up and tear-down. This event typically happens on a Sunday afternoon in May.
Sunshine Committee sunshine@bbhpmc.org Chair: Stephanie Farkas This committee provides sisterhood support to fellow members in need by providing meals or other help as needed to mothers who have just had a baby, members who are very ill or who have children who are very ill, or those who may have experienced a death in their family. Additional help could be provided in the form of babysitting, house cleaning, running errands, etc. If you would like to plan a meal for an expectant mother, or be on call to help as needed, consider joining this committee.
"To the Rescue!" Volunteer Committee president@bbhpmc.org This committee provides support for our larger events (think Fall Fest, Santa Party, Spring Fling, Consignment Sales, etc.). You'll receive notices from committee chairs for help as-needed (most likely for day-of event support). If you're more of a last-minute gal, this is the committee for you!
